For those who are unable to see a homestay before moving in or deciding on it, but still want to get a better idea of what the homestay is like, Ojisu offers a home screening service. Screenings are executed by Ojisu local coordinators who will be able to take requested pictures of the home, interview the host family, and compile a comprehensive screening report for the review of guests and guardians.
After the $198 service fee has been paid, each party will fill out a form.
The guest and their guardian will provide a list of questions for the host family and picture requests. This information must be provided to Ojisu at least 24 hours before the screening is scheduled to take place.
Ojisu will schedule a time with the homestay for the local coordinator to complete the screening.
The local coordinator will complete the screening and will then provide the guest or their guardian with a comprehensive report within 3 business days after the screening.
After the screening has concluded, if the guest and host are interesting in engaging in a homestay program with each other, please contact Ojisu to arrange a booking.
Fee & Refund Policy：
The home screening service fee is a one-time, non-refundable, non-transferable fee.
If Ojisu is unable to perform the screening and compile the report in the promised timeframe, a full refund will be issued.
