International Student Orientation
Price:$198/ Student
Service details:
After an international student has learned they have been accepted to a school program in the US, they will be busy preparing their study materials, packing their bags, and booking their plane tickets. However, it is very important not to forget to prepare for the cultural differences that lie ahead. We strongly suggest that incoming international students look to AHS for professional international study orientation services instead of consulting potentially unreliable sources on what studying in the US is like.
Through this comprehensive video conference orientation, students and their parents will learn things like how to best prepare for life studying in the US, what aspects of the US immigration procedure to be mindful of, a list of items to bring in their luggage, and hints about buying airplane tickets. The orientation will teach about the major cultural differences between the US and China and how to overcome these differences. Students will also learn about the most common homestay problems, how to avoid them, and how to remedy them.
Service Process:
Complete the full service payment of $198.
You will be connected with an Ojisu consultant and will then provide them with the contact information for the student involved in the orientation.
Within 3-5 business days, the Ojisu consultant will confirm a time for the orientation to take place.
After a time for the orientation to take place has been agreed upon, the orientation will then be completed via a video conference call. Most orientations last around an hour.
The Host Family Orientation service fee is a one-time, non-refundable, non-transferable fee.
If the student or their guardian is absent for the first scheduled orientation session, they will have one additional chance to reschedule the orientation. If they are absent for the second attempt, the service fee will be forfeited as a deposit.
Please note: the service becomes valid once it is fully paid for and concludes upon completion of the orientation and the receiving of the host family’s signature.
